Shopping in NYC? Want vintage, second hand, etc.?
I know this is a weird question considering today is going to be the worst day of my life, but later on I am sure I am going to go through my retail therapy phase in a week or so. I just moved to the NYC area and I am trying to find out where some really cool, and cheap, clothes are. I know about Daffy’s, but I wanted something more 2nd hand, vintage, and cheap. I go through clothes really quick and I don’t want to spend a ton of money on one item. So if you know of any place that is….
1) 2nd hand
2) vintage
3) trendy
4) and thrifty….
then please let me know. thank you!
By the way, I am in my 20′s. So if that helps with the store selection, then great. My style is usually just jeans and a tshirt, sweat pants, adidas shorts and shoes….when i do dress up, it’s usually just a dress with some flats or sandals. I am pretty low maintenance, but since my ex/friend is coming back soon, i want to dress up and impress him since he is always complaining about my clothes.
Try going to St.marks street (take the 6 to Astor place walk 2 blocks or the Q,R,L,W,N,4,5 to Union Square and 14th Ave walk like 5-6 blocks) in the east village stores there have vintage stuff, or you can go to west 4th st. and 6th ave ( Take A,B,C,D,E,F,V to west 4th st then go around the corner) there’s at least 3 stores there with cheap vintage stuff. Hope I helped.
