yard sale in abt 4hrs…any tips on how to charge for kids clothes ranging from birth to size 12 boys/girl?
This is my first time having a yard sale so I’m trying to get rid of most of the clothes but I don’t want to sell myself short either. Most of the clothes are name brand. I figured I could sell everything for abt a 1 or 2 dollars…I need help!!
unfortunately, clothes can be a big seller, but not a big source of money, if you price the shirts, worn items at .50c and pants, jumpers, nice clothes for $1.00 you should do very well at getting rid of most of your clothes. Also, what ever doesn’t sell, you can take to goodwill or salvation army and get a receipt for a tax deductible donation, also help many people. I’m the flea market, yard sale queen, I’ve had so many I can’t keep track. Good luck, also price everything, and put on index cards, etc. prices for bulk items like your clothes, otherwise you won’t do nearly as well. Make sure everything is clean, just wipe off with damp rag, don’t spend alot of time on that. and remember people love to haggle, so if somebody offers you a price that’s lower than u asked, unless it’s something you will keep otherwise accept it. Talk to people, as soon as they get there ask them how they are, be friendly, talkative, some people don’t like this, but you will recognize them as soon as the reply to good morning. If you haven’t already priced items, on some items price about .50c or $1.00 above what you want to get so when people ask if you’ll take….? you say yes and you get what you wanted to begin with. Keep prices low, and people who leave will tell there friends to stop by and see you. good luck and happy selling.
